Introvert vs Extrovert: A glimpse into the challenges of an Introvert by Doug Hertle

I stumbled across this funny animated video describing what it means to be an introvert.

I can completely relate to the “come on voicemail” part – pretty much what I’m thinking when I call anyone ever. Enjoy!

  1. Really interesting video…I’ve always thought of myself as somewhat of an extrovert but after seeing this video I’m questioning if that’s actually true. I can relate to a lot of things he talks about including getting tired out by crowds and the voicemail thing but always thought these were just symptoms of mild social anxiety.

    • That’s funny because I think a lot of the time introversion can really be defined between high and low levels of social anxiety. Low levels are definitely easier to manage! I also don’t think we have to define ourselves or each other as introvert, extrovert or even “ambivert”, but I’m hoping this blog will help folks who experience these things (like yourself) to see the humour in it and know that it’s okay, and for those who don’t understand it to find introversion more accessible (i.e., not think we’re weirdos!)
